This is the second attempt to fully launch Metastasis on the Warcraft Refordge client. The first release - version 1.1.4 - was unsuccessful. Players encountered many problems, the most serious of which were: player desynchronization, game client crashing, game client freezing and crashing.
It's been 7 months, during this time I optimized and fixed everything I could reach and had time for. On the problem of crashes and desychronization I studied a lot of information on forums, talked to experts, tested for a long time. I hope the solutions I have adopted will finally fix the problems.
In this post I will give a full review of changes from version 1.1.4 to 1.2.0.
Circular movement has reappeared in the station landscape, but now the circle closes or opens the Force Bridge. By default, the bridge is lowered, but the bridge can be raised on the station console.
The Force Bridge is a solid energy barrier, and it is difficult to move on it (-50% of movement speed).
The bridge state can be changed once every 3 minutes.
The bridge is lowered/raised for 3 seconds, if the unit does not leave the area during the time the bridge is turned off, it will die.
Barion shield item - allows you to add a shield ability (blocks 20000 damage) to any light spaceship (explorer). Can be used on the Explorer itself.
Electromagnetic emitter item - allows you to add a shock ability to any light spaceship (explorer) (stops the selected ship).
Both items are created on Reverendo at the transducer, and require resources to craft (choose recipes yourself).
A player (player character) who has been accused of being Evil is now displayed in red on the mini-map when scanned by trackers. This is the first real reflection in gameplay of the outcome of the vote to designate Evil.
Which trackers display an "evil" character? - Survece sweep on Arbitress, Niffy, Swagger, Kyo, and Reverendo. - Radar Sweep on Minertha and Global Radar Sweep on Arbitress. - ACAD on Arbitress. - Tracking Device item and Motion Sensor item.
